Below are Yorkshire places that were part of the West Riding of Yorkshire before 1974 which are now administered by the South Lakeland district of Cumbria.

They remain a part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Kendal, in Cumbria, is the administrative centre of the South Lakeland district.

Latest local authority changes introduced by the Government will abolish South Lakeland district from 2023 and combine it with two other districts as a unitary Westmorland and Furness Council area covering around half the area of Cumbria, which will also be abolished.
