Dark skies over Yorkshire December 9, 2020

Two of Yorkshire's National Parks have been designated International Dark Sky Reserves where stargazers can observe the night sky without the light pollution from towns and cities.

The  Yorkshire Dales  National Park and  North York Moors  National Park, together covering more than 1,300 square miles, have received the designation from the International Dark-Sky Association and are now listed among 130 dark sky places around the World.
