Labour hold Batley and Spen July 2, 2021

Labour candidate Kim Michele Leadbeater won the parliamentary by-election held on Thursday (July 1) in the Batley and Spen constituency in the  Kirklees metropolitan district of West Yorkshire.

Some 16 candidates stood in the election after Labour and Co-operative MP Tracy Brabin stepped down upon becoming Mayor of West Yorkshire.

Candidates gaining more than 2% of the vote were:
