2.6 million people lined 2018 Tour de Yorkshire routes May 6, 2018

The 2018 Tour de Yorkshire finish line in LeedsThe start of the final day of the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire at The Piece Hall, HalifaxYorkshire folk once again showed their massive support for the Tour de Yorkshire.

Tour de Yorkshire organisers estimated that 2.6 million people lined the routes of the four days of this year's Tour.

Thousands turned out in glorious sunshine at the Piece Hall in Halifax on Sunday May 6 to see the riders off on the final day. Crowds lined many sections of the route through the Yorkshire Dales and outside Leeds Town Hall there were thousands more as the cyclists completed four days of riding.

The event has included women's and men's stages on day 1 from Beverley in the East Riding to Doncaster in South Yorkshire, women's and men's stages on day 2 from Barnsley in South Yorkshire to Ilkley Moor in West Yorkshire and a men's stage on day 3 from Richmond to Scarborough in North Yorkshire.
